I feel that being a childcare provider should be so much more than just “babysitting”. My job is to protect, nurture, teach, and most of all encourage the children to have fun. Our daily schedule includes a wide variety of activities and learning experiences including:

-Frequent walks, including nature walks to the park where we can run and scavenger hunt for objects and have picnics.

-Arts and crafts projects including drawing, painting, sculpting, and crafting seasonal decorations.

-Group preschool as well as 1 on 1 lessons tailored to age and specific needs, including: Colors, letters, counting, sorting, telling time, days and months, seasons, feelings and emotions, sensory play, textures, hand eye coordination, and communication skills.

-Singing and dancing time, we learn to sing and dance to seasonal and age appropriate songs and educational videos.

-Science projects and nature study, we do many science projects and  germinate seeds to learn about how plants and flowers grow.

-Water play and sprinkler time, on especially warm days, we participate in outdoor water projects, and have sprinkler time.

-Birthdays and Holidays: We prepare special activities for birthdays and holidays as a group, everyone has a small daycare birthday party to commemorate their special day.  We also host an annual Halloween party with games and special treats. Parents are encouraged to attend.  We have an easter egg hunt in the spring, and a Christmas party in December, as well as a balloon drop for New Years eve!


 



We take daily nature walks on the miles of paved paths and trails nearby.  Sometimes we pack a picnic lunch.
